Commitment to Quality

Bethesda is recognized as a leading performer demonstrating high levels of clinical performance and improvement for quality and safety measures. Here are some of our recent accomplishments.

  • Bethesda’s Rapid Response Team for patient emergencies has been saving lives, since 2005
  • Quality Measures for Pneumonia, Surgical Care, Heart Failure and Heart Attack demonstrate performance above the national average as reported on Hospital Compare
  • Bethesda’s complications are lower than expected for surgical infections and, collapsed lung as reported on Floridahealthfinder.gov
  • Bethesda performed “Better than the US National Rate” for Composite Safety Indicators as published on Hospitalcompare.gov
  • Patient Perception ratings of the hospital are in the top quartile of Palm Beach County rating Bethesda a 9 or 10.

Bethesda’s Medical Staff and Clinical teams continue to evaluate and implement evidenced based best practice medical care to improve community outcomes for healthcare. We’re building these best practices into all of our processes including our electronic medical record.

 

Quality Reporting Initiatives

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve patient safety and quality of care, Bethesda participates in National Quality Reporting Initiatives through CMS-Medicare, and the National Hospital Quality Alliance and Core Measures project of The Joint Commission.
