Meet Elvis Grandic, M.D.

Elvis Grandic, M.D. is a Fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon on Bethesda's Medical Staff. Dr. Grandic specializes in minimal invasive hip and knee replacement. He practices at Orthopaedic Surgery Associates in Boynton Beach.
With a focus on soft tissue preservation and rapid recovery, Dr. Grandic provides the latest state of the art hip and knee reconstructive surgery in the region. These include total and resurfacing hip replacements, total and partial knee replacements, robotic hip and knee replacement, and complex revision of total joint procedures.
Dr. Grandic has advanced training in both hip and knee replacement and complex reconstructive revision surgery. He earned his medical degree and completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. He then went on to complete the prestigious Otto E. AuFranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstructive Surgery at the New England Baptist Hospital, part of the Harvard Caregroup in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Grandic was heavily involved in the development of a new hybrid technique of minimally invasive total hip replacement, known as the superior approach or "SuperPATH™". Dr. Grandic is also one of Bethesda's early adopters of the MAKO Partial Knee Resurfacing® system and the MAKO Total Hip Replacement®.
Meet J. Acey Albert, M.D.

J. Acey Albert, M.D. is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and is a member of Bethesda's Medical Staff. An affiliate member of the Bethesda Health Physician Group, Dr. Albert's practice is located at 2875 South Ocean Boulevard, Suite 208, Palm Beach, FL 33480.
Dr. Albert earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining Bethesda's Medical Staff, Dr. Albert practiced with Kaiser Permanente in Denver, Colorado. During that time, he became the regional expert in the management of hypertension, and helped develop a system which still leads the country in the quality of care provided. His practice was also recognized by the National Council for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for excellence in the care of diabetes, and earned the highest rating as a Patient Centered Medical Home.
As a former triathlete, Dr. Albert has a special medical interest in Sports Medicine, specifically in the care of endurance athletes and adolescents.
Meet Reagan L. Ross, M.D.

Reagan L. Ross, M.D. was a first year medical student at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, part of the inaugural class on the campus of Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, when she observed her first surgical case at Bethesda. Now, 11 years after she saw her first surgery in Bethesda’s operating room, Dr. Ross has returned to Boynton Beach as a highly trained general/vascular surgeon.
Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Ross joins Bethesda Health Physician Group, bringing her expertise in the minimally invasive treatment of complex thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms to our community. She received her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and was selected for the prestigious William J. von Liebig Research Fellowship in vascular surgery at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Ross continued her training at Parkland Hospital in Dallas with her internship and residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center where she also served as Administrative Chief Resident. She went on to complete a fellowship in vascular surgery at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida in Gainesville.
Meet Raymond J. Leveillee, M.D., FRCS-G

Dr. Leveillee earned his undergraduate degree from McGill University in Montreal, Québec and his medical degree in Urology from the Brown University Alpert Medical School in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed his residency training at Rhode Island Hospital and fellowship in Endourology & Laparoscopy at the University of Minnesota.
For the past 20 years, Dr. Leveillee taught at the University of Miami’s Department of Urology and was the professor of urology, radiology and biomedical engineering, as well as the chief for the division of endourology and laparoscopy. His clinical interests include: laparoscopic surgery, endourology, stone treatment, and minimally invasive techniques for urologic disease, renal cell cancers and general urology.
Among his numerous honors, Dr. Leveillee was just appointed to serve on a new committee of the American Urological Association for kidney and adrenal health.
Meet Miguel A. Lopez-Viego, M.D.

Miguel A. Lopez-Viego, M.D. is a general and vascular surgeon on the clinical faculty of Charles E. Schmidt Medical School at Florida Atlantic University. Dr. Lopez-Viego is on the medical staff of Bethesda Hospital, comprised of Bethesda Hospital East and Bethesda Hospital West and a member of the Bethesda Health Physician Group. Dr. Lopez-Viego is Board Certified and Fellowship trained in vascular surgery and Board Certified in general surgery. His areas of expertise include endovascular surgery, vascular surgery and surgical oncology. He has published numerous articles in scientific journals on issues and cases related to surgical oncology and vascular surgery. He is also the author of a textbook on trauma and a contributor to numerous chapters in textbooks on general surgery, cancer surgery, trauma and vascular surgery.
Dr. Lopez-Viego performs surgery for the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms, carotid artery blockages, pancreatic cancers, gastrointestinal cancers, and a wide range of general and vascular diseases and disorders.
Dr. Lopez-Viego graduated from Brown University in 1982 where he earned a degree in biology and medicine. He then attended the University of Miami School of Medicine where he graduated in 1986 with the distinction of being selected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Society. He then completed a five-year residency in general surgery and a subsequent fellowship in vascular surgery at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School (Parkland Memorial Hospital) in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Lopez-Viego has received recognition from residents at the University of Miami and students at Florida Atlantic University for his teaching activities. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons who continues to contribute to scientific publications and clinical research studies.
Dr. Lopez-Viego is the Director of Bariatric Surgery at Bethesda Hospital and is also the Director of the Bethesda Wound Care Center. He also specializes in the laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy procedure.
Meet George L. Mueller, M.D.

George L. Mueller, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a general and vascular surgeon on Bethesda’s Medical Staff. He practices at Bethesda General & Vascular Surgery located at 2800 South Seacrest Boulevard in Boynton Beach.
Dr. Mueller specializes in endovascular, vascular and general surgery and was instrumental in the opening of The Driskill Endovascular Center at Bethesda Hospital East. Some of the procedures performed by Dr. Mueller include endograft repair of abdominal aortic aneurysm, endovascular revascularization of peripheral arteries, creation of vascular access for dialysis access, carotid endarterectomy, open bypass surgery for blocked arteries of the legs, open and laparoscopic abdominal procedures including gastrectomy, colon resection, cholecystecomy, appendectomy, hernia repairs and whipple resection. He also performs radiofrequency ablations and injection therapy for the treatment of varicose veins.
Dr. Mueller earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine. He completed his residency in surgery at the University of Michigan. Dr. Mueller has been Board Certified in surgery since 1982. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association, Palm Beach County Medical Society, and the Frederick A. Coller Surgical Society.

Dr. Konowitz earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. She earned her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. She completed her pediatric residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, New York. Dr. Konowitz is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Berry Pierre, D.O., M.P.H. is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the Bethesda Health Physician Group.
Dr. Pierre earned his undergraduate degrees from Florida State University in Exercise Physiology and Sociology. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree as well as a Master's in Public Health from Nova Southeastern University. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at West Palm Hospital in West Palm Beach. Dr. Pierre's professional affiliations include the American College of Physicians, American College of Internists, Palm Beach County Medical Society, Florida Osteopathic Medical Society and the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad.
Dr. Pierre provides both inpatient and outpatient care for a wide variety of illnesses, including: acute illness, hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes management, preventive medicine, physicals and vaccinations.
